THE ARYLESSENCE FOUNDATION
Supporting better understanding, education, and treatment for Autism
Autism affects 1 in 68 children in the United States, and some experts believe that figure may even be higher.
A life-long disability, autism affects each individual uniquely, and the effects of autism cover a broad spectrum. Many children function well and learn to live happy, productive lives. Others may require life-long care costing millions of dollars. More boys than girls are diagnosed with autism (about four-to-one).
Key to positive outcomes for all children are early diagnosis, intense behavioral intervention, proper medical treatment, and other therapies, including speech.
The Arylessence Foundation is committed to and focused on creating better awareness and understanding of autism, ensuring families have more access to the right information and education, and working with physicians to improve diagnosis and treatment.
